Camp Hope for Kids
459 Johnson Road
Kirkwood, NY 13795
Camp Hope for Kids is a day camp for children and teens who have experienced the loss of a parent, guardian, grandparent, or sibling.
This summer's camp will take place Aug. 20-22 at Camp Sertoma in Kirkwood, NY, a children's camp run by the Binghamton Boys and Girls Club. Children ages 6-14 are welcome to participate.
Healing & support
Camp activities offer opportunities for learning, healthy grieving, and building hope for the future. Our compassionate staff provide guidance and support throughout the experience.
Campers will participate in healing circles, a supportive group where they can share their stories, connect with each other and learn coping strategies. They'll also enjoy activities like art, music, swimming, hiking, games — and more!
Registration information
Enrollment for this program is limited to 40 children. The deadline to register is Friday, July 5, 2024. To sign up, please call 607-798-5692. We'll send you an enrollment application packet to complete and return to us.
First-time & returning campers
Due to the popularity of Camp Hope for Kids in our community, first-time campers are given priority for enrollment. First-time campers will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. We won't enroll returning campers until all first-time camper spots are filled.
If space allows, we'll then enroll returning campers based on the number of years they've previously attended. All returning campers will be notified of their enrollment status by Friday, July 26, 2024.
