Advances & Innovations in Cardiovascular Care Virtual Symposium
The American Heart Association estimates that 100 million + people in the U.S. are living with cardiovascular diseases; this includes heart attack, stroke, high blood pressure and chest pain. Heart disease and stroke remain the nation’s leading cause of death and disability, a ranking they have held since 1921.
Similar to national rates, the prevalence of heart disease and stroke continue to greatly impact the population Guthrie serves. Due to the burden of heart disease and stroke, Guthrie’s cardiovascular health practitioners have joined forces to provide an update on primary and secondary prevention strategies along with an update on the breakthroughs in the diagnosis and treatment of most frequently encountered cardiovascular disorders.
This event will focus on practice guidelines and breakthroughs that are most relevant to the entire medical community, with emphasis on prevention and appropriate choice of diagnostic and therapeutic means.
We hope to attract the medical community to this “patient-centered” interactive educational experience.
