Guthrie has several Sleep Center locations, offering you overnight sleep studies to test and diagnose a wide range of sleep problems, such as sleep apnea, periodic limb movement disorder, narcolepsy, parasomnia, and nocturnal seizures.
The following treatments are used in the treatment of various sleep disorders:
- CPAP/Bi-PAP – to help patients with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) sleep normally by forcing open the air passages of the throat.
- Surgery – uvulopalatopharyngoplasty (UPPP), somnoplasty and snorplasty are surgical procedures that either reduce or stiffen the tissues of the palate
- Oral appliances - specialty devices that are designed to reduce obstruction
