Improving the quality of life for patients diagnosed with serious illness.
Palliative Care is medical care focused on relief of the pain, symptoms and stress of being diagnosed with a serious illness. By improving the quality of life for patients living with chronic, progressive and terminal illnesses, patients are able to live comfortably, enjoy time with their family and do what is important to them. Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital offers an inter-disciplinary team that includes nurses, hospital social workers, chaplains and physicians who work together to provide individualized plans for each patient. Our providers strive to help patients get back to things that matter most while spending fewer days in the hospital.
