Guthrie Named as One of the Nation's Most Wired Hospitals in 2017

Guthrie has again been recognized as one of the nation’s Most Wired hospitals, according to the results of the 2017 Most Wired Survey released by the American Hospital Association’s Health Forum and Clearwater Compliance, LLC.

This is the seventh consecutive year and the eleventh time in fifteen years that Guthrie has been recognized with a Most Wired award. The survey showed that the health systems that received this award are using smart phones, telehealth and remote monitoring to create more ways for patients to access health care services and capture health information.

Guthrie Challenges the Community to Take Part in the 62 Challenge

Guthrie is challenging patients, employees and members of the community to stay active this summer with the 62 Challenge. The challenge is to complete 62 miles in 62 days – one mile a day during the months of July and August. The challenge encourages the community to get active by heading outdoors, exploring the area, and involving family, friends, and neighbors.

Guthrie Medical Group and Walk-In Care Holiday Closure Schedule

The Guthrie Medical Group in Sayre, Pa., the Guthrie Clinic Pharmacy and all regional offices throughout the Twin Tiers will be closed on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 in observance of the Fourth of July/Independence Day holiday.

Guthrie Golf for Hospice Raises Over $39,000

The 15th Annual Golf for Guthrie Hospice raised over $39,000 for hospice care. The event was held on June 16 at the Club at Shepard Hills in Waverly, N.Y.  More than 100 local sponsors and donors contributed to this year’s event, with first place honors awarded to Gannon Associates.

The mission of the tournament is to raise funds for Guthrie Hospice to enhance and support hospice programs and services, as well as offset the expenses related to caring for low-income patients. The tournament has raised over $430,000 since it began in 2003.
