Guthrie Seeks Volunteers for New Chemo Companions Program

Guthrie is seeking compassionate volunteers for a new program designed to make chemotherapy treatment more comfortable for patients physically, mentally and spiritually.   

Volunteers will provide hospitality, a listening ear, friendship, compassion and encouragement while meeting any physical needs of the patient they work with. Companions will be asked to attend scheduled chemotherapy treatments to provide support to the patient.

Guthrie is a non-profit integrated health system located in north central Pennsylvania and upstate New York, serving patients from an 11-county service area.
