Guthrie Resource Development Manager Named 2021 Apra Professional of the Year

June 25, 2021

Jennifer Warner, Manager of Resource Development at The Guthrie Clinic, was recently named a 2021 Apra Professional of the Year. Jennifer is responsible for database management, research, reporting and financial operations within Guthrie’s Resource Development Department.

“I was surprised and honored to receive this award,” Jennifer said. She added, “It has been a tough year in health care and while so many things have changed, some things remain the same: Small teams can still accomplish big things, quality teams are at the heart of every program’s success, and data driven strategy wins.”

The 2021 Apra Awards recognize achievements in the field of prospect development, volunteer service and mentorship of others. Winners are peer-nominated and chosen by a committee of Apra members.

Mary Ann Dougherty, Guthrie Senior Vice President, Strategic Planning & Marketing, said, “Jennifer’s leadership in providing a data driven approach to philanthropy at Guthrie has resulted in a more sophisticated program, attracting a greater number of donors and contributions to the organization. While much of Jennifer’s work is done behind the scenes, Guthrie’s first comprehensive campaign, Forward Together, will come to a successful close at the end of this month, resulting in more than 10,000 gifts received and $15 million dollars raised, thanks in large part to Jennifer’s good work.”

The funds raised during the Forward Together campaign have helped Guthrie extend its network and services through the addition of a number of new facilities. This growth allows Guthrie to provide needed care to more patients, close to home. For more information, visit guthrieforwardtogether.org.
