Guthrie Awards Grant to This is My Quest Inc.

Guthrie is pleased to announce a $2,500 grant awarded to This Is My Quest, Inc. through its Community Benefit Grant Program. 

The funding will support the Wellsboro-based nonprofit’s hands-on, outdoor environmental education programs serving economically disadvantaged youth in Tioga, Bradford and Potter counties in Pennsylvania.

This Is My Quest’s youth programming provides children with a deeper understanding of the environment, conservation and sustainability while also promoting physical activity outdoors.

The grant was awarded through Guthrie’s Community Benefit Grant Program, which funds projects based on Guthrie’s Community Health Needs Assessment. The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) requires non-profit hospitals to complete a community needs assessment (CHNA) every three years. The following areas of need were identified for 2023-2025: mental health and substance use disorders, obesity, and cancer screening and prevention.
