Important information about your eGuthrie Account
Electronic Messaging
eGuthrie should never be used for urgent health problems. We will respond to your electronic messages in 1 to 2 business days. For that reason, please contact your provider by telephone, go to an emergency department or call 911 for any urgent medical matters. If your provider is out of the office or unavailable, any message you send through eGuthrie may be routed to other authorized caregivers within Guthrie to assure timely response to your request.
Secure Communications
All communications between you and Guthrie using eGuthrie occur over a secure connection to carefully protect your privacy. When new information is available to you in your eGuthrie account, we’ll notify you by email. These e-mail messages will inform you of new information but will never contain any confidential medical information. All of the confidential medical information available to you in eGuthrie is protected and securely maintained by Guthrie.
Access Code
When you initially enroll in eGuthrie, you will be provided with an access code. The access code you receive will give you the opportunity to create a personal login name (called “eGuthrie ID”) and a password. Once this access code has been used it will no longer be valid. It is extremely important that you keep your login name and password completely confidential. Anyone with access to your login name and password will be able to access your confidential medical information. That person will also be able to read your messages and send new messages as if they were you. It is your responsibility to prevent disclosure of your login and password, and to change your password if you feel that your security has been compromised. You may change your password at any time.
Information Does Not Constitute Medical Advice
Please understand that Guthrie cannot be responsible for how you use the information you obtain from eGuthrie. We recommend that you consult with your Guthrie physician or health care provider about your condition and how eGuthrie content may or may not apply to you.
If you have an emergency, or think you need to speak to someone urgently, please do not use the email communication options provided to you by eGuthrie. Neither eGuthrie nor any other application available through this Site is a substitute for appropriate and timely contact with your physician.
eGuthrie is not a substitute for consultation with your physician. You should never change or stop any course of treatment prescribed by your physician without first consulting him or her.
“Downtime”
Guthrie may need to restrict access for planned maintenance of the eGuthrie system. Every effort will be made to communicate downtime to all users in advance; however, there may be reasons to restrict access to eGuthrie without advance notice. Please know that we will do all we can to give you advanced notice.
Appropriate Use
Guthrie offers access to the eGuthrie system for the purpose of supplementing medical care. If you use eGuthrie in a way unrelated to this purpose, the result may suspension or termination of access privileges. Improper activities include, but are not limited to use of inappropriate or abusive language, requesting appointment times that are not needed, appointments frequently cancelled and or any other activities that cause a disruption to clinic operations in the sole discretion of Guthrie.
Medical Information
Information on eGuthrie is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind and is meant for use only to support the patient's relationship with their current or future medical professional. User reliance on the material in eGuthrie is at your own risk. Please note the medical or health care information provided on eGuthrie is not a replacement for proper medical attention. Contact your clinic, your physician or 911 services immediately if you are suffering from urgent medical issues. The electronic record is the property of Guthrie and the information displayed in eGuthrie may not be the complete medical record. Contact your Providers office or Hospital directly for official copies of your medical record or in regard to discrepancies with the medical information listed in your record.
Privacy
Guthrie is committed to the privacy of patient information and compliance with State and Federal Privacy Laws. eGuthrie is configured to be secure from unauthorized access, however Guthrie cannot be held responsible for:
a) Absolute security of all electronic communication transmissions between patient and Guthrie;
b) Unauthorized disclosure resulting from a user not logging out of an active session;
c) Unauthorized disclosure resulting from a lost or stolen user ID and password;
d) Unauthorized disclosure resulting from information printed by the user from eGuthrie;
f) Unauthorized disclosure resulting from personal computer settings or installed software products that may compromise information security; or
e) Similar events outside the substantial control of Guthrie
Restrictions on Use and Ownership
All pages within eGuthrie and any material made available for download are the property of Guthrie and/or its subsidiaries and affiliates. The content on the Site is provided for Guthrie and its patients only.
Accuracy and Integrity of Information
Although Guthrie attempts to ensure the integrity of eGuthrie, Guthrie makes no guarantee whatsoever as to the correctness or accuracy of eGuthrie. If you become aware of any typographical errors, inaccuracies or other errors, please notify your physician or provider, so that we can make the correction. Because we will continually update information for you, we will make changes and updates as these are indicated.
