Guthrie was founded on a multi-specialty approach to investigating and treating illness collaboratively with the patient at the center of all decisions. Built on that legacy of collaborative clinical research and patient care, the Donald Guthrie Foundation for Medical Research started in 1944, and Guthrie’s Clinical Research program was formally established in 1999.
Today, Guthrie continues to provide high-quality, integrated health care services to the people of north-central Pennsylvania and upstate New York with the same commitment to high-quality, integrated care.
