Guthrie Patient: September 2019
Always great.
Guthrie Patient: August 2019
I first encountered Julie Boersen when my father had his first appointment with her after having seen a Guthrie cardiologist not too long beforehand. Unlike the doctor who was very cavalier about my father's illnesses and rude to me for no reason whatsoever when I commented about a remark he made that had nothing to do with my father's visit -- and that's the truth -- when Julie came into the room, she was friendly like the doctor was when he first entered the room, but she showed she'd looked at my father's records before coming in and was genuinely concerned with his cardiological illnesses and went right to work asking questions and prescribing medications and tests to help him. That's the way she has been with me since my first appointment with her. She doesn't get worked up over test results that don't warrant getting worked up about, which makes me feel more at ease. As I told her when she asked me if some test results had worried me, 'I told myself I'd only be as worried about them as you are and so since you're not, I don't have to be either.' I think this is the only way a doctor, nurse practitioner, etc. should approach test results so that their patients aren't saddled with undue worry and I commend Julie for taking this approach. It has helped me a great deal.
