The Guthrie Tai Chi for Health classes offer a series of short form movements designed to address various health conditions.
These classes are structured around movement therapy and the application of Tai Chi principles.
Each specific class spans from four to eight weeks, with sessions meeting once or twice a week, totaling anywhere form four to 16 sessions per class.
Every session progresses sequentially through a sequence of 12 warm-ups, specific core movements and three cool down forms. The focus is on teaching Tai Chi principles through each forms, aimed at improving core strength, posture, balance and stamina.
This program is adaptable to cater to different fitness levels, making it generally safe for participants of all ages. The gentle, flowing, low-impact movements are particularly suitable for individuals with limited mobility.
