Hospitalist

Guthrie Medical Group PC seeks Hospitalists for positions in Sayre, PA. Lead the coordination of hospital medical care. Diagnose and treat internal disorders for hospitalized patients. Prescribe or administer medication, therapy, and other specialized medical care to treat illness, disease, or injury. In consultation with patient's primary care physician, provide and manage comprehensive medical care, including diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of diseases for adult patients in hospital. Monitor patients conditions and progress and re-evaluate treatments as necessary. Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients and family. Work schedule is seven days on followed by seven days off, with rotating 12 hour day and night shifts to provide 24/7 coverage. May be assigned rotations at Guthrie Troy Community Hospital (Troy, PA), Robert Packer Hospital, Towanda Campus (Towanda, PA), Guthrie Corning Hospital (Corning, NY), and Guthrie Cortland Medical Center (Cortland, NY).

Requirements:

• Professional medical degree.
• ACGME-accredited residency in Internal Medicine (3 years).
• Board certified or active candidate for certification in Internal Medicine.
• License to practice Medicine in Pennsylvania and New York.
