Guthrie Medical Group seeks a fellowship-trained BC/BE Colorectal Surgeon to join Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pennsylvania. This is an excellent opportunity to join a mature surgical platform with established colorectal expertise, endoscopy access, and system-wide referral support.

Highlights of the Position

• Practice at Robert Packer Hospital, a 254-bed tertiary referral center and the region’s only Level I Trauma Center.
• Join Sayre General Surgery, an established multispecialty surgical clinic that includes two colorectal surgeons, a colorectal/general surgery APP, general surgeons, surgical oncology, hepatobiliary-pancreatic surgery, and breast surgery.
• Clinical scope can include colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, benign anorectal disease, pelvic floor and fecal incontinence care, endoscopy, and minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgery.
• Collaborate closely with Gastroenterology, Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Surgical Oncology, and other specialists in Guthrie’s multidisciplinary cancer program.
• Leverage Robert Packer Hospital and the RPH Endoscopy Center as part of an integrated regional referral model.
• Help expand access to high-quality colorectal care across northern Pennsylvania and southern New York.

Candidate Requirements 

• Unwavering commitment to our mission of improving health through clinical excellence and compassion; every patient, every time.
• MD or DO with Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Colon and Rectal Surgery.
• Fellowship training in Colon and Rectal Surgery required.
• Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in Pennsylvania; New York eligibility is preferred given Guthrie’s regional footprint.
• Strong interest in minimally invasive and robotic colorectal surgery, endoscopy, and multidisciplinary oncologic care.
