Advanced Practice Provider – Outpatient Gastroenterology (Cortland, NY)

Highlights of the Position
- Located at Guthrie Cortland Medical Center in Cortland, NY, this Advanced Practice Provider role is 100% ambulatory
- Provide evaluation and management for adult patients with common GI conditions, support longitudinal IBD and hepatology follow‑up, optimize medication therapy, coordinate care, and deliver pre‑/post‑procedure education
- You will collaborate closely with gastroenterologists, fellow APPs, RNs, and clinic leadership within an integrated multi‑specialty system
- Expect clear workflows, access to specialty resources, and a culture centered on clinical excellence and compassion—every patient, every time.
Candidate Requirements
- Commitment to Guthrie’s mission: improving health through clinical excellence and compassion—every patient, every time
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program with current national certification
- Eligible for New York licensure, prescriptive authority, and DEA. Current BLS required (ACLS preferred).
- GI or internal medicine experience is preferred; highly motivated new graduates with strong adult medicine rotations and a clear interest in GI will be considered
- Success in this role requires excellent patient education, interprofessional teamwork, EMR documentation proficiency, and a collaborative, solutions‑oriented approach.
