The Section of Urology provides a full range of services for the diagnosis and treatment of adult and pediatric urologic disorders. Services include:

  • Surgical treatment for all urologic cancers (including prostate, bladder, kidney, adrenal, testis, penis and urethra)

  • Male sterilization (vasectomy)

  • Pediatric urology (including ureteropelvic junction obstructions, vesicoureteral reflux, undescended testes, and hypospadias)

  • Ureteroscopy for the diagnosis of ureteral tumors and treatment of ureteral tumors and strictures with Holmium-YAG laser

  • Prostate ultrasound and ultrasound-guided prostate radioactive seed implant with six years’ experience in iodine and palladium seed implants for prostate cancer

  • Conformal radiation therapy for localized prostate cancer as well as nerve-sparing radical prostatectomy

Treatment of…

  • Urinary tract infections
  • Impotence (including penile injection therapy [CAVERJET®], external devices and penile implants)
  • Urinary incontinence in males and females (including medications, behavior modification, collagen injections, intra-urethral devices and surgery.)
  • Male infertility (including microsurgical vasectomy reversal)
  • Congenital anomalies (including ureteropelvic junction obstructions and vesicoureteral reflux)
  • Urinary stones (including on-site extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy [ESWL] and ureteroscopy with intraureteral Holmium-YAG laser lithotripsy; electrohydrolic and ultrasonic lithotripsy; as well as minimally-invasive percutaneous removal of kidney stones)
  • Neurologic bladder diseases
  • Benign prostatic hypertrophy (including vaporization of the prostate with Vaportrode, laser prostatectomy, transurethral prostatectomy [TURP] and transurethral incision of the prostate [TUIP] as well as open prostatectomy for larger prostates)
