Palliative and hospice care involve approaches to improve quality of life for patients and their families facing a life limiting illness. Palliative care is a specialized type of health care that focuses on the relief and prevention of suffering: physical, emotional and spiritual. 

Certified by Medicare and a member of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO), Guthrie Hospice staff is available 24 hours a day to answer questions and provide visits as necessary.
