Academics are a distinguishing characteristic of the Guthrie organization, which dates back to 1901 when the School of Nursing was founded. The Donald Guthrie Research Foundation started in 1942 and with funds from the Emily Guthrie Estate the Guthrie Research Institute was formed in 1980. Guthrie’s commitment to learning and education includes the Internal Medicine Residency program accredited in 1958, General Surgery Residency program accredited in 1959, and the Family Practice Residency program accredited in 1993, as well as a fellowship in Cardiology accredited in 2009. We relaunched the Gastroenterology fellowship and a new Emergency Medicine Residency in July 2019.
To celebrate this rich tradition, Guthrie has now created an Alumni Network. This network helps create a forum where our current and past graduates can reconnect and network, as well as learn more about what new things are happening at Guthrie.
All alumni are encouraged to join and participate in the network. To ensure that Guthrie has your most up to date information and to make sure you don’t miss out on any events or announcements, please complete a submission form below. These details will be used for network administrative information only, and will not be shared.
