Guthrie Cortland Medical Center to Close Main Entrance for Final Phase of Parking Lot Project
We are excited to announce the final phase of the parking lot reconstruction project at Guthrie Cortland Medical Center. The focus of this last phase is the circle in front of the main entrance. As a result, beginning Monday, May 6, the main entrance will be closed to all vehicles and foot traffic for a period of four to six weeks.
During this time, all patients and visitors will be asked to enter the hospital through the Emergency Department entrance. Despite the temporary circle closure at the main entrance, guests will still be able to park in either the Alvena or West Main parking lots and move between the two.
Clear signage will be placed throughout the Alvena lot to guide patients and visitors to the Emergency Department entrance. Individuals dropping patients off should pull up to the Emergency Department entrance.
Our information and registration teams will be relocated to assist our guests without the need to walk all the way back to our traditional lobby.
Anyone visiting a resident in our Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center will still have access to that entrance across from the Alvena lot.
We apologize for any inconvenience and are eager to complete a process years in the making that will further enhance the patient experience at Guthrie Cortland Medical Center.
