Guthrie Patient: April 2018
The care provider said/wrote our daughter had 'flu like symptoms, conjunctivitis, acute pharyngitis' and tested her for a strep throat (she clearly had no idea what was wrong with our daughter). She told us to give motrin/tylenol for the fever she'd had for 3 days. She said there was no need for antibiotics and checked her ears saying there was nothing wrong. As there was no improvement a couple of days later, we went to see another doctor. Our daughter actually had a double ear infection. Only the antibiotics the doctor from the second place we went to worked. Had this provider seen she had an ear infection, she could have had a treatment and gotten better 2 or 3 days before. Our 17 months daughter suffered much longer than she should have.

the provider made me feel like I lacked basic hygiene etiquette and made me feel awful. I am worried about what my actual condition may be but the provider didn't take any time to diagnose the problem and acted like better hygiene could have avoided all of it (i am a very clean person, this issue is recurrent when stressed) I left feeling terrible about myself
