Sayre, Pa. – The Lori Peterson Strollo Memorial Scholarship was presented to Jessica Schofield, a senior student in the Respiratory Therapy Program of Mansfield University and Robert Packer Hospital.
Lori Peterson Strollo was a 1983 graduate of the Mansfield University/Robert Packer Hospital Respiratory Therapy Program who passed away in 2006 after a long battle with brain cancer.
Jessica was selected by the clinical faculty based on the following criteria stipulated in the scholarship protocol approved by the Strollo family. Those criteria include a demonstrated excellence in clinical skills and academic skills and a minimum grade point average of 3.0
Jessica came to this program after earning a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Utica College in Utica, NY. In the classroom, lab, and in her clinical practice, Jessica is praised for being exceptionally professional in her conduct and consistently demonstrating a desire to provide the highest level of care to her patients possible. She listens to her patients, identifies their needs, and provides the most appropriate care in a timely manner.
The Lori Peterson Strollo Memorial Scholarship that was presented to Jessica Schofield by Jack Strollo, Lori's husband, at a luncheon held in the Patterson Auditorium on the Guthrie Sayre campus.
