Sayre, Pa. – To celebrate five years of successful operation, the Sayre House of Hope will hold an Open House on Wednesday, Sept. 19 from 4 – 7 p.m. at the house at 312 Chemung Street, adjacent to the Guthrie campus.
The Open House will include tours, refreshments and the presentation of proceeds from the “Todd and Chuck Challenge” Golf Tournament sponsored by The Choice radio station.
The event is free and all are welcome.
The House of Hope offers a place of respite to the families of patients seeking medical care. In five years, more than 1,000 families have found comfort, rest and support at the House. It has six guest rooms, each with a private bath. Two rooms are handicapped accessible. There is a fully-equipped kitchen for guests to make simple meals and a laundry for their use. A library has a computer and reading material and there is wireless internet throughout the house. While it is within walking distance of Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital and the Guthrie Clinic, shuttle service is also available.
Guthrie Health is a community-based, not-for-profit health care system jointly formed by Guthrie Healthcare System (GHS) and Guthrie Clinic, also not-for-profit health care organizations.
