Sayre, Pa. – Now that school is back in session, the Robert Packer Hospital/Guthrie Auxiliary is offering meaningful volunteer opportunities to area residents who may have some free time.
Auxiliary members do not need to have any connection to Guthrie in order to donate their time and talents. The group works on a variety of projects to support the work of Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital. Volunteers can help out in areas ranging from the Connections Gift Shop to patient greeter and escort.
The Auxiliary also organizes fund raising events like the Sayre Thanksgiving Turkey Trot and the Tree of Life ceremony. Through the years these efforts have resulted in donations to Sayre House of Hope, Guthrie Lifeline, Guthrie Hospice and several scholarship programs that help local young people pursing higher education.
The Robert Packer Hospital/Guthrie Auxiliary is always in need of members to support their mission. Joining the group is as inexpensive as $5 for a single membership. Any and all Guthrie employees and community members are eligible. For more information, to volunteer or to contribute, call the Auxiliary at 570-887-7929.
