Sayre, PA – The Post-Concussion support group for athletes and their families will hold its next meeting on Sunday, May 19, 2013.
This group offers support to athletes, and their families, who are dealing with sports related Post-Concussion Syndrome and those who have been forced to stop playing sports or working because of repeated concussions.
The guest presenter for May is Kaitlynn Stubbs, a former Cheerleader and graduate of Athens Area High School. Stubbs, who has suffered concussion-related issues, was one of the inspirations for the support group’s creation. She plans to share her story and what others can learn from it.
Guthrie Sports Medicine Athletic Trainer Steve Hicks will host the meeting, which will be held at 2 p.m. in the Four Blue Conference Room, located on the fourth floor of Guthrie’s Sayre campus.
This will be the final meeting of the 2013 school year. Meetings will resume in September. For more information contact Steven Hicks, MS, ATC at email firstname.lastname@example.org.
