Sayre, PA – The Post-Concussion support group for athletes and their families will hold its next free and open to the public meeting on Sunday, Jan.19, at 2 p.m. in the 4 Blue Conference Room located on the fourth floor of the Guthrie Sayre office at One Guthrie Drive in Sayre, Pa. The group offers support to athletes, and their families, who are dealing with sports related Post-Concussion Syndrome and those who have been forced to stop playing sports or working because of repeated concussions.
Guest speaker, Heather Westbrook, is a former Division 2 basketball player at Mansfield University and current junior high girls’ basketball coach for Athens Area School District. Ms. Westbrook will speak about coaching athletes suffering from concussions from both a parental and personal point of view.
