Sayre, Pa. – The Twin Tiers Sports Post-Concussion Support Group will host a free public meeting on Sunday, April 27, at 2 p.m. in the 4 Blue Conference Room located on the 4th floor of the Guthrie Sayre office at One Guthrie Drive in Sayre, Pa. The group offers support to athletes and families who are dealing with sports related post-concussion syndrome and those who have been forced to stop playing sports or working because of repeated concussions.
The meeting’s guest speaker will be Deborah Delgado, Traumatic Brain Injury Project Director for the Disability Rights Network (DRN) of Pa. (www.drnpa.org). DRN is a federally funded advocacy organization whose mission is to advance, protect and advocate for the human, civil and legal rights of Pennsylvanians with disabilities. Deborah has worked for DRN for 20 years and has focused on traumatic brain injury (TBI) for the past 12 years. During her presentation on April 27, she will share information about the services that DRN provides and the work she does under their TBI grant.
