Sayre, PA – The Post-Concussion support group for athletes and their families will hold its next meeting on Sunday, Nov. 17 at 2 p.m. in the 4 Blue Conference Room, located on the fourth floor of the Guthrie Sayre office. The group is celebrating its fourth anniversary of offering support to athletes, and their families, who are dealing with sports related Post-Concussion Syndrome and those who have been forced to stop playing sports or working because of repeated concussions.
In celebration of the group’s fourth anniversary, there will be a viewing of the documentary, “Head Games,” from acclaimed director Steve James. Winner of Best Documentary at the 2012 Boston Film Festival, “Head Games” highlights the crisis of concussions in American athletes and follows the long-term effects of these injuries.
