Guthrie/RPH Auxiliary Donates $200,000 to Flood Relief Effort

In response to the devastating floods in our region, the Guthrie Auxiliary has announced a gift of $100,000 to The Bridge, to support their relief efforts.

The presentation of the Auxiliary's check will take place at the “Valley Rally” on Saturday, Sept. 17 during the live broadcast on Choice 102 Radio under the marquee at the Sayre Theater.

The Auxiliary represents more than 80 members who give of their time and talents to support Guthrie and its patients within Guthrie and Robert Packer Hospital. The mission of the Guthrie Auxiliary is to support and advance projects and funds critical to Robert Packer Hospital.

Auxiliary President Joan McCarty said, “The members of the Guthrie Auxiliary share a common love for our community and felt a need to do something to assist the many families who are hurting right now. We are honored to be able to make this donation.”

In addition to the donation to The Bridge, the Guthrie Auxiliary has made a second $100,000 gift to the Guthrie Human Service Fund, which exists for emergent situations to help employees and patients of Guthrie and the people of our community. The fund is used for acute, short-term needs such as food, clothing, lodging, medications, medical equipment, and transportation.
