Guthrie Welcomes New Providers

 

Sayre, PA -- The Guthrie Health Care System is proud to welcome the following new providers:

Mohammadomid Edrissian, MD – Robert Packer Hospital welcomes Dr. Edrissian as a new hospitalist. His medical degree is from Tehran University of Medical Sciences in Iran and his residency was with Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in New York City. He worked in private practice in Tehran and also as a research associate with Loma Linda University in California.

Richard Zwirko, MD - Dr. Zwirko has joined Corning Hospital as a radiologist, after completing his service at the Wright-Patterson Medical Center at the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. A graduate of the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland, Dr. Zwirko went on to residency at Travis Air Force Base in California and a neuroradiology fellowship with the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

Mason Stilwell, MD - Dr. Stilwell joins the very busy orthopedic surgery team in Sayre. His medical degree is from Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY, where he also interned, did a residency in general orthopedics and a fellowship in hip and knee replacement and revision. Ashit Sarker, MD - The Pathology Department in Sayre has welcomed Dr. Sarker, who comes to Guthrie from Urology Health Specialists, LLC in Huntingdon Valley, Pa. His medical degree is from Rajshahi Medical College in Bangladesh. He then went on to earn a PhD in Japan while doing his pathology residency. He has worked in other Pennsylvania facilities, including the Lebanon VA Medical Center and the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre.

William Dichtel, MD - Dr. Dichtel comes to Guthrie's otolaryngology team from the Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, Virginia where he was Section Chief. He attended the University Of Maryland School Of Medicine and did residencies with the Baylor College of Medicine and the M.D. Anderson System Cancer Center. Dr. Dichtel was also an Assistant Professor of Surgery with the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland.
