Guthrie Unveils Portrait Honoring Dr. Kevin Carey

Sayre, Pa – Guthrie Health recently unveiled a portrait honoring long-time hospital physician and administrator, Kevin V. Carey, MD.

Dr. Carey spent 33 years affiliated with the Guthrie system. Beginning with his appointment as Section Chief for Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Dr. Carey embarked on a path that melded his skill as a physician with his aptitude for administration and team-building. In 1998, he became the seventh President of the Guthrie Clinic. He was also the Co-CEO of Guthrie Health and went on to serve on the Guthrie Health Board of Directors during the final chapter of his career.

The portrait will be on display in the Clinic atrium in Sayre, Pa. for several months and then be permanently displayed in the Guthrie Health boardroom in the School of Nursing.
