Sayre, Pa. – The Guthrie Health Care System proudly invites area residents to attend a Community Open House at the new Guthrie Troy Community Hospital on Saturday, Sept. 28 from 2 to 5 p.m. The event will be held in celebration of the completion of the 55,000 square foot, $30.8 million facility located at 275 Guthrie Drive in Troy, Pa.
Attendees will have the opportunity to tour the new Guthrie Troy Community Hospital, meet the staff, and learn more about the services being offered. Guests are invited to reminisce with photos of the original hospital and families will enjoy children’s activities sponsored by the Guthrie Troy Clinic.
The community is also invited to attend the official Ribbon Cutting on Friday, Sept. 27 at 10 a.m. at the new hospital.
Guthrie broke ground in June of 2012. The hospital will move all patients and begin seeing outpatients in the new facility on Oct. 12. The Guthrie Troy Clinic will open on the new Guthrie Troy Hospital campus in Nov. 2013.
Guthrie Health is a community-based, not-for-profit health care system jointly formed by Guthrie Healthcare System (GHS) and Guthrie Clinic, also not-for-profit health care organizations. GHS provides inpatient, outpatient and home-based services through Corning Hospital, Troy Community Hospital, Robert Packer Hospital, and Guthrie Home Care and Guthrie Hospice.
