Sayre, Pa. – The Post-Concussion support group for athletes and their families will hold its next meeting at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 24.
The group offers support to athletes, and their families, who are dealing with sports related Post-Concussion Syndrome and those who have been forced to stop playing sports or working because of repeated concussions. The meeting will take place in the Four Blue Conference Room, on the fourth floor of the Guthrie Clinic in Sayre, Pa.
Guthrie Sports Medicine Athletic Trainer Steve Hicks is hosting the meeting. The guest presenter will be Chaplain Michael Hughes, Director of Pastoral Service for Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital. Hughes will be speaking about resilience throughout the healing process for the athlete and their families.
