Sayre, PA – Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital School of Medical Laboratory Sciences held its 63rd annual graduation ceremony on Friday, July 26 in the Patterson Education Building on the Guthrie Sayre campus.
At the ceremony, the following awards were presented by Brian Spezialetti, M.S., MT (ASCP), Program Director: Valedictorian to Ashley Wilson, a graduate of Shippensburg University and Salutatorian to Melissa Turshman, a graduate of Hartwick College.
Two of the members of the 2013 graduating class, Frank Dushok and Melissa Turshman, will join the staff of the Guthrie Clinic Medical Laboratory.
The Medical Laboratory Sciences program at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital is a one-year internship which prepares participants to become certified, licensed medical laboratory professionals. The program accepts students with a four-year degree in biology or other sciences from affiliated universities in Pennsylvania and New York State.
