Sayre, Pa. – The Post-Concussion support group for athletes and their families will hold its next meeting at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 11, 2012. The group offers support to athletes, and their families, who are dealing with sports related Post-Concussion Syndrome and those who have been forced to stop playing sports or working because of repeated concussions. The meeting will take place in the Four Blue Conference Room, on the fourth floor of the Guthrie Clinic in Sayre, Pa.
This meeting will signify two years since the group began. Group founder Steven Hicks, MS, LAT, ATC will be presenting. Hicks will lead the discussion on ways to improve upon our concussion management of student athletes, current trends in concussion injuries and the recommended practice of “return to play.”
Those in attendance will also be given the chance to share their stories, for the benefit of the group as a whole.
