The Guthrie post-concussion support group for athletes and their families will hold its next meeting on Sunday, Jan. 17, at 2 p.m. in the 4 Blue Conference Room located on the fourth floor of the Guthrie Medical Group in Sayre, Pa. The meeting is free and open to the public.
This month’s guest speaker is Maryann Britton McGuire, who will be speaking to the group from Connecticut via live WebEx simulcast. McGuire will talk about her son’s concussion history and continued recovery from Post-Concussion Syndrome (PCS).
The group offers support to athletes, and their families, who are dealing with sports related post-concussion syndrome and those who have been forced to stop playing sports or working because of repeated concussions.
