Guthrie Post-Concussion Support Group to Meet - Feb. 28

The Guthrie post-concussion support group for athletes and their families will hold its next meeting on Sunday, Feb. 28, at 2 p.m. in the 4 Blue Conference Room located on the fourth floor of the Guthrie Medical Group in Sayre, Pa. The meeting is free and open to the public.

This month’s guest speaker is Bill Bennett. Bennett is a senior at Athens Area High School, and was one of the captains on the Athens Area High School Football Team this year. Bennett will talk about the multiple concussions he sustained his freshman year of high school, and the recovery process from those concussions.

The group offers support to athletes, and their families, who are dealing with sports related post-concussion syndrome and those who have been forced to stop playing sports or working because of repeated concussions.
