Sayre, Pa. – Dr. James Walsh, Guthrie Pulmonologist, will speak on the dangers of radon and the American Lung Association will distribute radon testing kits at the May 31 seminar in Sayre, Pa.
The seminar will take place in the Patterson Auditorium on the Guthrie Sayre, Pa campus at 6:30 p.m.
The American Lung Association is launching a campaign against radon gas and has targeted certain counties in Pennsylvania with low radon-testing rates, among them Bradford and Tioga. Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas. It is colorless, odorless, and tasteless, and it is the second leading cause of lung cancer, after cigarette smoking. The only way to know the level of radon inside one’s home is to test for it.
