Sayre, Pa. – Edward Cordes, OD, Guthrie optometrist, has been awarded the New York State Optometric Association’s 2012 Arthur M. Gottlieb, OD Leadership award in recognition of his commitment to the visual welfare of the public.
Dr. Cordes was also honored for his active support of the New York State Optometric Association, as evidenced by the many volunteer positions he has held, particularly as President of the Children’s Vision Coalition and as a board member. He was Chairman of the SUNY Optometry College Council from 1987-1996 and has served in many state level positions for the association.
Dr. Cordes was presented with his award at the 117th Annual Congress in Cooperstown, New York on May 19, 2012.
