Sayre, Pa. – The Guthrie Weight Loss Center will offer a free, interactive healthy eating seminar on Thursday, June 12 from 6-8 p.m. in the Patterson Auditorium on the Guthrie Sayre campus.
This seminar will be presented by Adrienne Bragg, Registered Dietitian; Jessica Callear, Certified Health Fitness Specialist; and Mary Hutz, RN, Program Director, and will teach participants: · The "Big Three" macronutrients found within food.
- How to read and use the food label to compare nutritional contents of similar foods and beverages.
- How to identify the five basic food groups and provide examples for each identified group.
- Changes you can make to support a lifestyle towards better nutrition.
