Sayre, PA – November is National Hospice Month and Guthrie Hospice held an appreciation luncheon on Wednesday, Nov. 13 to honor staff and volunteers for their commitment to providing much needed support to Guthrie’s hospice patients and their families. As a special gift, Anja Miller, RN, CHPN, Clinical Director of Guthrie Hospice, presented Angel pins to the "Angels" on the Hospice team, and thanked them for their dedication to Guthrie Hospice.
Guthrie Hospice staff is dedicated to providing comprehensive care and comfort to patients and their loved ones with specialty-trained staff who work to create a plan of care with an emphasis on maintaining independence and quality of life. To accomplish this goal, Guthrie Hospice offers a wide range of services including 24-hour staff availability; medication, durable medical equipment and medical supplies provided for patient comfort; and bereavement and grief services for families.

Guthrie Hospice is certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Health, the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO). Hospice nurses and aides are certified in hospice and palliative care by the National Board for Certification of Hospice and Palliative Nurses (NBCHPN).
