Sayre, Pa. – Guthrie Hospice will host its 10th annual Memorial Service/Butterfly Release on Sunday, June 8 at 2 p.m. at Mt. Pisgah State Park’s Lakeside Pavilion, 28 Entrance Rd, Troy, Pa. to celebrate the lives of loved ones lost.
While the ceremony is free and open to the public, those who wish to release butterflies in honor of loved ones are asked to contribute $10 per butterfly to help defray their cost and shipping charges. Participants may purchase any number of butterflies in memory of loved ones who have passed. Butterflies orders must be made with Guthrie Hospice by Friday, May 30.
As part of this memorial service, Guthrie Hospice will host a potluck picnic at Lakeside Pavilion. Attendees are asked to bring a dish to share; beverages and table service will be provided.
