Guthrie to Hold Cancer Survivors Day Celebration on June 1

Sayre, Pa. – The Guthrie Cancer Center will host a celebration for our area cancer survivors on June 1, under a tent at the Tioga Downs Casino racetrack from 1 – 4 p.m.

Survivors will celebrate with live music by Mutt’s Road, entertainment and refreshments The day will be filled with hope and celebration as we honor our community members whose lives have been impacted by cancer. Cancer survivors are asked to please RSVP by calling 570-887-5148.

National Cancer Survivors Day is an annual, treasured Celebration of Life that is held in hundreds of communities nationwide and around the world. It is a CELEBRATION for those who have survived, an INSPIRATION for those recently diagnosed, a gathering of SUPPORT for families, and an OUTREACH to the community. Participants unite in a symbolic event to show the world that life after a cancer diagnosis can be meaningful, productive, and even inspiring.
