Sayre, Pa. – Guthrie HealthWorks Wellness and Fitness Center, 9768 Liberty Drive, Painted Post, N.Y., is pleased to offer an 8-week class to help jump-start your progress toward health and fitness goals. Instructors Chris McKeown, Exercise Physiologist and Julie Walenta, Registered Dietitian Nutritionist will help participants to work toward lasting, effective changes in lifestyle. The program will run Tuesdays from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Conference Room at HealthWorks as follows:
• Sept. 9: Nutrition 101 and Record Keeping.
• Sept. 16: Metabolism and Body Fat.
• Sept. 23: Label Reading and Negative Self-Talk.
• Sept. 30: Emotional Eating.
• Oct. 7: Portion Sizes and Behavior Change.
• Oct. 14: Eating Out/Eating Smart.
• Oct. 21: Healthy Holiday Eating.
• Oct. 28: Active Living.
“The fall is an ideal time to start thinking about fitness and reaching your healthy weight goals,” says Walenta. “Kids are back in school, routines are settling into place and the weather is just right for increasing activity outdoors.”
