Sayre, Pa. – Guthrie Healthcare System employees who reached a service milestone between Jan. 2, 2011 and Jan. 1, 2012 were recently honored for a combined 4,195 years of service to the organization.
There were 260 employees recognized for achieving between five and 40 years of service with Guthrie at a special awards dinner on Feb. 8. Each honoree received a recognition packet including a certificate of appreciation, a letter from the CEO, and a gift of their choice.
Marie Droege, Chief Operating Officer, GHS welcomed those attending. Rev. Michael Hughes, Director, Robert Packer Hospital Pastoral Services provided the invocation. A sit-down meal was prepared and served by the RPH Food & Nutrition staff. Congratulatory remarks and recognition of the 2011 CTE inductees were offered by Mark Stensager, GHS President/CEO.
In addition to employees being recognized for their service milestones, 42 employees achieving 25 years of service were inducted into the Commitment to Excellence Club. This "club" is comprised of active and former GHS employees who have achieved 25 or more years of service. In addition to their service award gift, each Commitment To Excellence inductee was presented with a corsage or boutonniere, a certificate, and a special Commitment to Excellence Club commemorative gift.
