Guthrie Health Profession Scholarship Applications Available

Sayre, Pa. – Guthrie is pleased to announce that applications are now available for its 38th Annual Health Professions and Guthrie Employee Scholarships. A total of 13 scholarships will be awarded; each undergraduate studies scholarship is worth $650 per year, or $2,600 over four years.

Nine Health Professions scholarships will be awarded. Criteria for application include: high school seniors who plan to enter an accredited college, university, hospital-based nursing or allied health program, with careers in health professions, including hospital administration or a planned career in medical research, in the summer or fall of 2012,.

Four Guthrie Employee scholarships will be awarded. These scholarships are offered to high school seniors who are the children of Guthrie employees and who plan to enroll in an accredited junior college, college or university in the summer or fall of 2012. Any career interest is allowed. These students may apply simultaneously for a Health Professions scholarship if all the criteria for that scholarship are met.

Children of physicians and dentists affiliated with Guthrie are not eligible for either of these scholarships.

New York: Owego Free Academy, Spencer-VanEtten, Tioga Central, Newark Valley, Candor, Corning-Painted Post East, Corning-Painted Post West, Addison, Bath-Haverling, Campbell-Savona, Bradford Central, Hammondsport, Horseheads, Thomas Edison, Watkins Glen, Odessa-Montour, Southside, Elmira Free Academy, Notre Dame, Elmira Christian Academy, Ithaca, Dryden, Newfield, Lansing, Groton, Charles O. Dickerson, Maine-Endwell, Union-Endicott, Vestal, Johnson City, Binghamton, Seton Catholic, Waverly.
