Guthrie Appoints Jane Clements Smith Giving and Events Officer

Sayre, Pa. – Guthrie announces the appointment of Jane Clements Smith as Annual Giving and Fundraising Event Officer. Ms. Clements Smith will be based on the Sayre campus at One Guthrie Square in Sayre, Pa.

As Annual Giving and Fundraising Event Officer, Ms. Clements Smith will be responsible for developing financial giving opportunities in the form of appeals and events for both the community and Guthrie employees.

“We are excited to have Jane join Guthrie as we work to further develop and enhance our fundraising,” said Mary Ann Dougherty, Director of Strategic Planning and Marketing. “Jane’s background in corporate development and her strong community involvement will be great assets to our health system as we advance our efforts.”

Ms. Clements Smith most recently served as the manager of corporate development for Chesapeake Energy Corp. in Towanda, Pa. She sits on the board of directors for Northern Tier Counseling, Endless Mountains Visitor’s Bureau, Maternal and Family Health Services, Central Bradford County Chamber of Commerce and Greater Valley EMS and is a member of the fundraising committee for the Bradford County Regional Arts Council. Ms. Clements Smith holds a bachelor’s degree from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, Pa.
