Guthrie is proud to announce the arrival of the following providers who recently joined the organization:

Saurabh Sharma, M.D. is a board certified, fellowship trained cardiologist with clinical interests in cardiac imaging, echocardiography and geriatric cardiology. Dr. Sharma completed his residency in internal medicine at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. and his fellowship in preventative cardiology and geriatric medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. Marion Tamesis, M.D. is a board certified, fellowship trained dermatologist with clinical interests in acne and acne scarring, skin cancer and pediatric dermatology. Dr. Tamesis completed her residency at Columbia University Medical Center in New York, N.Y. and at Elmhurst Hospital Center in Elmhurst, N.Y. as well as a fellowship in pediatric dermatology at the University of Colorado in the Children’s Hospital in Denver, Colo. Rigoberto Acosta, M.D. is a board certified, fellowship trained Allergist and Immunologist with clinical interests in adult and pediatric asthma, adult and pediatric food allergies and clinical immunodeficiency. Dr. Acosta completed his residency in internal medicine at Christina Care Health System in Newark, Del. and a fellowship in allergy and immunology at Louisiana State University in Shreveport, La. Syed Shah, D.O. joins the family medicine team in Ithaca with clinical interests in chronic disease management, diabetes mellitus and heart failure. He completed his medical education in Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in New York, N.Y. and his residency in family medicine at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pa. Shilpa Manjunate Gowda, M.D. joins the obstetrics/gynecology team in Corning with clinical interests in adolescent gynecology, family planning, and menopause. She received her medical education at Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in Bangalore, India and her residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. and New York Medical College, St. John’s Hospital in Queens, N.Y. Elizabeth M. Stein, M.D., M.S. joins the occupational medicine team in Ithaca as a fellowship trained physician with clinical interests in population health, occupational exposure and workplace wellness. Dr. Stein completed her medical education at Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, D.C. and her residency in preventive medicine at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wis. Anna Pham, Au.D. joins the audiology teams in Ithaca and Sayre with clinical interests in amplification, cochlear implants and diagnostics. She completed her Bachelor of Science at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Boston, Mass. and became a Doctor of Audiology at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania in Bloomsberg, Pa. Keith Sharpton, M.D. joins the general surgery team in Corning Centerway with clinical interests in appendicitis, benign and malignant breast diseases and bowel surgery. He received his medical education at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University in Augusta, Ga. and completed his residency at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pa. Amanda McNeil, F.N.P. joins the internal medicine team in Sayre with clinical interests in geriatrics and women’s health. Dilip Gupta, M.D. is a board certified, fellowship trained pathologist with clinical interests in cytopathology, quality assurance and surgical pathology. Dr. Gupta completed his residency in pathology at the Hahnemann University and Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pa. He completed his fellowship in cytopathology at Lankenau Hospital and Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pa. and in surgical pathology at the University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. 

Ravi Kumar, M.D. joins the Guthrie Robert Packer hospitalist team in Sayre with clinical interests in cardiology, hospital medicine and infectious disease. He received his medical education at Liaquat University of Medical Health Sciences in Jamshoro, Sindh, Pakistan and completed his residency in internal medicine at the Queens Hospital Center in Jamaica, N.Y.
