Sayre, Pa. – Joseph A. Scopelliti, MD, Guthrie President and CEO, will present at the first Industrial Advisory Committee meeting of the 2014-2015 season. The meeting will take place on Thursday, Sept. 11, 2014 at 8 a.m. in the Patterson Auditorium on the Guthrie campus in Sayre, Pa. Dr. Scopelliti will discuss national health care reform and its impact on the health care delivery system.
Guthrie’s Industrial Advisory Committee (IAC) hosts a free breakfast meeting series from 8-10 a.m. on the second Thursday of every month from September through June. Any employer interested in learning more about occupational safety and health and preventing job-related illness/injury is welcome – event attendance is not limited to industrial and manufacturing facilities employers. The mission of IAC is to educate employers on industrial health care cost controls and safety/risk management techniques.
Previous topics discussed include: Corporate Health and Productivity, Drug and Alcohol Abuse, Ergonomic Programs, Workers’ Compensation, Modified Duty, Repetitive Motion injuries and Stress Management in the Workplace.
