Dr. Lynn Smaha Memorial Golf Classic Raises Over $5,000

Dr. Lynn Smaha Memorial Golf Classic Raises Over $5,000 Sayre, Pa. – The Guthrie Heart Club held the 2013 Dr. Lynn Smaha Memorial Golf Tournament at Tomasso’s Golf Course in Waverly, NY on August 2 successfully raising more than $5,000. The annual tournament is presented in memory of Dr. Lynn Smaha, who died suddenly in 2006 after serving as president of the Guthrie Clinic from 1990 to 1998. In honor of Dr. Smaha and his mission, proceeds from this year’s tournament will be used to produce educational materials for patients undergoing a heart procedure or needing guidance during their heart care. More than 75 sponsors and donors and 22 foursomes contributed to the success of this year’s event. Congratulations to the team of Jim Briggs, Dave Gabriel, Jim Gabriel, and Keith Gabriel for their Championship Flight win. Additional awards were given as follows:
