Sayre, PA – On June 18, the Niagara Health Quality Coalition released its annual New York State Hospital Report Card, and Corning Hospital once again achieved an Honor Roll rating. The hospital's place on this year's Honor Roll is the result of scoring low in postoperative respiratory failure. CH is the only Southern Tier hospital to earn the Honor Roll rating five consecutive years.
The NYS Hospital Report Card can be found on www.myHealthFinder.com . The report card is a project of the Niagara Health Quality Coalition that examines the quality of care at every New York State hospital for a broad spectrum of procedures and conditions. Included in the report is the performance of New York hospitals on 31 specific measures of quality care. This information serves as a source for health care consumers by providing objective, reliable and comparative data on hospitals throughout the state.
CH's Honor Roll rankings over the past five years include the following areas of patient care:
- Pneumonia Care, 2005
- Pulmonary Embolism, 2006
- Acute MI, 2007
- Infections due to medical care, 2008
- Postoperative respiratory failure, 2009
